$85 (including materials - watercolor paper / printing ink / paint)
Come join us on Saturday, June 14th, for a fun and exploratory art making experience! Robert Szot is opening up his studio in support of young, curious, creative minds that are looking for a unique opportunity. These workshops will focus on creating printing press imagery, painting techniques and understanding color and composition. No experience required. We welcome open minds and facilitate a no pressure zone of self-expression through visual language.
**Seating is limited as we prefer small class sizes to enhance the learning experience. Refunds are not available.

June 14th: Printing Press Techniques
Play with textures and mark making by adding ink to a plate in order to achieve a painterly print! Choose stark or ethereal background colors that will compliment your ink drawing. Students will explore layering images on pre-painted backgrounds to create unique, dimensional works on paper.
About Us:
Kari Buzewski has her BFA from the Columbus College of Art and Design, specializing in figurative work, watercolor, fashion design and surface design. She specializes in hand painting silk and batik techniques. Kari has taught youth art classes and camps at the College for Creative Studies and mentors talented young artists who are looking for one on one portfolio development.
Robert Szot is an internationally recognized abstract painter currently living and working in Los Angeles. He exhibits his work in many galleries across the United States from New York to the Bay Area. Szot’s paintings have been exhibited in the Saatchi Gallery in London and, in 2014, the artist was invited to participate in the Whitney Museum Art Party. He is known for his unapologetic use of color, complex composition and dynamic layering techniques.
